Traditional secret-animal reading
The Monkey hour’s inner image
Monkey hour introduces Yang Metal and the opening of autumn. In a secret-animal reading, it suggests an inward process of separation: identifying the pieces of an experience, distinguishing their functions and noticing where one thing ends. Its movement is toward definition rather than further expansion.
In hour folklore, this is the hour monkeys grow lively and call across the trees.
