After completion, the arrangement is in place but still needs care. Attend to small changes before they disturb the balance.

既濟:亨,小利貞,初吉終亂。

Changing lines

Line 5: Yang → Yin. 九五:東鄰殺牛,不如西鄰之禴祭,實受其福。

Relating figure: 36. Darkening of the Light

Darkening of the light calls for protecting clarity in a difficult setting. Keep understanding intact while adapting its outward expression.

Read every changing position with its primary figure, then compare the relating figure as the changed arrangement.

Use three coins

Give one side the value 2 and the other 3, then sum three coins for a line. Repeat six times. A sum of 6 is changing Yin, 7 steady Yang, 8 steady Yin and 9 changing Yang.

Read the changes

Begin with the primary figure and its theme. Read the text at every changing position, then compare the relating figure. With no moving lines, the arrangement remains unchanged.

Keep a journal

Write a concrete question before casting. Export the line values with the question and add your later reflections, or print the displayed reading.
