BaZi, Saju and Regional Chinese Astrology Traditions

BaZi, Saju and Shichu Suimei share the four-pillar vocabulary. Vietnamese traditions use Can-Chi calendar names and Tu Vi palace charting, while their zodiac names include Cat and Water Buffalo.

Chinese BaZi and Korean Saju

BaZi names eight characters across four pillars. The Korean term Saju names the four pillars themselves, and Palja the eight characters. The Academy of Korean Studies describes the same ten stems and twelve branches and the Ipchun (Li Chun) year boundary. Its Saju Danja entry also documents exchanging a written birth record in a marriage custom.

Japanese Shichu Suimei

Shichu Suimei is the Japanese four-pillar name. A historical Japanese manual preserved by the National Diet Library uses month-command, Officer and Resource vocabulary familiar in BaZi. Kyusei nine-star calculations instead begin with numbered positions; the Nine Star Ki tool follows that separate three-number task.

Vietnamese names and charts

Vietnamese Can-Chi is the stem-branch vocabulary. The Vietnam News Agency documents Cat in the fourth zodiac position and Water Buffalo in the second. The National Museum of History preserves a discussion and image of a Tu Vi chart, giving a local example of palace-chart vocabulary alongside the year-sign tradition.

Compare the input first

Match the calendar, time zone, year boundary, day change and lunar leap-month treatment before comparing outputs. A translated term can name a shared coordinate, while a year animal and a palace-chart result answer different questions.
